Delaware State Hornets started their football season with a loss to Bowie state university. With the score of 11-22, the Bowie State Bulldogs knocked off the Hornets of DSU completely taking over their home field

Today was a big win for the program,” said Kyle Jackson, Bowie State coach. “We have been preparing for this moment since last November when the season ended.”
While this triumph boosted Bowie’s record to 1-0, and DSU fell to 0-1, BSU got on the score board first and opened up with a 7-0 lead on DSU with only 10:08 left in the first quarter. Unfortunately, DSU remained scorless in the opening quarter.

“ The guys showed resilience and fought until the end; we will celebrate today and back to work tomorrow” stated Bowie state head coach, Johnson.
Delaware State Hornets still have many more games to go, as this was just the first game of the regular season.
