Artificial Intelligence and the Future of Work

Artificial Intelligence(AI) is a rapidly developing technology that has the potential to revolutionize the labor market. It has already begun to change the way people work and many industries are beginning to feel its impact. The rise of artificial intelligence has caused both excitement and concern.

According to a recent report by the World Economic Forum, Ai is expected to displace 85 million jobs and create 97 million new jobs worldwide. While helping jobs is positive, the transition is likely to be difficult for many workers with repetitive tasks such as data entry pipelines and customer service, in which AI is most at risk of displacement.

“It seems that in some years to come most of the jobs in the country and around the world will be replaced with artificial intelligence,” said Karma Wright, a mass communications student at Delaware State University.

A World Economic Forum report predicts that data analysts and researchers will likely create jobs through artificial intelligence. Experts in formal intelligence, machine learning and experts in digital marketing and strategy should prepare for the future of work, because the labor market continues to change. It is important for workers to prepare for the future by developing new skills and adapting to the new technologies.

According to the World Economic Forum report, the most important skills  in the future are analytical thinking, creativity and solving complex problems. In addition to developing new skills, it is important that employees are aware of the latest artificial intelligence technologies and be open to new ways of working, which can mean remote management.

“ I am excited about AI, it makes a lot of tasks that were once a struggle to get done very easy. Within a few minutes or seconds AI can generate an essay, website or even logo for my business. Many people are scared of AI, but I feel like it can be used to make people better at their jobs,” said  Geovanni Rice, a computer science student at Delaware State university.

While the rise of AI is expected to have a significant impact on jobs, the net effect is likely to be positive. AI will create many new jobs and will make many existing jobs more efficient. However, the transition may be difficult for many workers, and it is important for them to prepare for the future of work by developing new skills and adapting to new technologies. By doing so, workers can ensure that they are well-positioned to succeed in the new economy.
