[Dover, Delaware] – Delaware State University’s Student Government Association (SGA) held a Town hall meeting at 6 pm in the MLK Student Center.
Amid aggressive sexual assault rumors among the student body, many are anxiously waiting for the SGA’s response.
In the town hall meeting, students had the opportunity to voice their concerns and push forth initiatives to help ease the tension. Although, no campus administration was present, SGA will take the information directly to the administration in hopes of finding a resolution.
“We hope to give the students a bit of clarity, as students from your perspective we want to do all we can to make administration hear you,” stated Rita Williams, SGA Treasurer.
Prefacing, SGA are students, so they have certain constraints to what they can do directly. However, they are pushing to do everything they can to make the students feel as safe as possible.
