Miss Delaware State University (Bralyn Page), Women’s Senate, and E.L.I.T.E. teamed up this holiday season to host a two-in-one winter clothing and feminine hygiene products drive starting Monday, November 28 to Wednesday, December 14. This will be taking place in the lobby of the MLK student center, just as students prepare to return home for the holidays and the end of the Fall 2022 semester.
The first drive will be looking for winter clothing. This drive is accepting donations of gently used or new clothing, scarves, hand warmers, coats, sleeping bags, and more in sizes for adults and children ranging from size small to 3x.
The Feminine Hygiene Drive is hoping for donations of sanitary products, facial tissues, deodorant, toothpaste, and more. The goal of these drives are to provide necessities to families who have fallen on hard times and cannot afford such things themselves. To help them make it through the cold weather, E.L.I.T.E., Miss DSU, and the Women’s Senate is turning to the Delaware State University community in hopes that they can provide assistance to a family in need during this season of giving.
Additionally, the Hornet community should keep an eye out in their residence buildings for donation collection drop boxes whose locations and dates are to be determined. For more information and to have any questions answered, visit @elitedsu, @dsuwomenssenate, or @dsuroyalcourt on Instagram!
