The Delaware State women’s soccer team lost 3-0 in a heated home game to George Washington University on October 5.
In the first half, DSU took one shot, completed six saves, a corner kick, and committed two fouls. Their determination to push back against George Washington University served them well, as this half resulted in a 0-0 draw.
Both teams played harder in the second half, but Sammy Neyman of GWU, assisted by Aoi Kataoka, scored a goal shortly after the start of the second half. With nine shots, three saves, and one corner kick, Kelly Poole and Rachel Sorkenn scored GWU their final two shots within minutes of each other toward the end of the game. GWU walked away with a 3-0 win under their belts.
