DOVER, DE– Delaware State University held its first pep rally of the 2022-2023 school year on Friday September 9th at 6:30 p.m. at the Memorial Hall gym.
The event was created for the Delaware State University students to come together and bring high energy to the campus as a way to kickstart the school year.
The event had students dancing, enjoying the showcase of the Delaware State’s sports teams, and just having a good time overall.
The Delaware State University Hornet Mascot definitely made an appearance.
Delaware State University radio station, The Nest, was also at the event for coverage. “The event was definitely a showstopper,” said William Akin, The Nest radio station manager. “Every year there are always some great surprises. When I’m there I never want the show to end.”
President Tony Allen, Student Government, and other faculty members were at the event as well.
“The event was great for the radio station,” said Xamara Coleman, The Nest radio station manager, “This will be good content for the station, and I can’t wait for next year.”
