Chase Bank hosted “Back To The Yard” at Delaware State University outside basketball courts, on Thursday, September 15th, from 11am- 2pm to embrace the next era of Black wealth.
The celebration of the next generation of wealth in the African American community had students gathered at the tents, Dj booth, and more. Some students met and talked with campus recruiters, refreshed their resume, took professional headshots, and received interview insights.
These are some great ways for students to prepare themselves for life after college. Students also received tips, tools, and real talk about money to help them prepare for their future.
There was live entertainment with special guest, Jamela Musafa, free food and beverage, yard games, photo-op station and more. Delaware state student, Simone Hammond, said “This was a great event to attend, I learned more about financial stability and more while having fun.”
The event was supposed to take place last year, but due to the rise of covid cases at Delaware State, Chase decided to host Back To the Yard this year.
An Alumnus from class of ‘20 who currently works for Chase said, “ This a very nice event, there are so many job opportunities and we love to do what we’re doing!”
