Bomb Threat: DSU vs Coppin State Basketball Game Rescheduled

Delaware State University was one of seven historically black colleges that received a bomb threat on January 31,2022.

The men’s basketball game that was scheduled for Monday night versus Coppin State University has been rescheduled to Wednesday February 2, at7:30pm in Memorial Hall.

At 7:00am early Monday morning, students on Delaware State campus received a text message informing them about a bomb threat that was recieved earlier that morning. They instructed students to stay in their residence until further notice.

According to Junior Darius Holmes, “This is crazy, I would have never thought there would be a bomb threat on a campus”.

All classes were conducted virtually.

Approximately at 1:00pm, The University police department has thoroughly investigated and issued an “all clear” for the campus. A freshman here at Delaware state university, Jaquan Jackson said, “All of my classes were changed to virtual for the whole day, even though the university cleared around 1:00”
