“Living in Washington, D.C., the riot on the Capitol is one of the most absurd gestures made by our country and its people. It wasn’t DC natives taking place in the Capitol riot but individuals from all over the country,” said Sherron Patterson, DC Native.

Several American Citizens used their power to force themselves into the Capitol. As a result, the National Guard assisted to remove citizens from the Capitol Building at once. Citizens who engaged in the violent activities at the Capitol wore “Make America Great Again” Apparel, Mask and held Trump flags to get their message across about the previous election between President Joe Biden and Donald Trump.

“I knew there was a protest going on In Washington, D.C. in response to the previous election; however, I didn’t think the Capitol would’ve been broken into and people would die from what they called “protesting” and “using their voices,” said Corneilius Jordan, DC Native.
