Delaware State University Campus Activity Board hosted a Student Organization Fair/ Cookout for students to interact with other student organizations and learn about the foundation of each organization that they are interested in.
The original date for the event was September 1st , however, due to the weather, Campus Activity Board decided to reschedule the event to September 8th for all organizations to participate at MLK Student Center.
Some of the following organizations were present at the Student Organization Fair: Freshman Class Electees, Hive Captial, Fairy Godsisters of DE, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., E.L.I.T.E., The Curve, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., NCNW (National Concil of Negro Woman) , Phi Beta Sigma Faternity Inc. DSU Pre-Veterinary Club, Student Athletic Advisory Committee, Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc., Delaware State University Office of Student Success, Noble, Pathways 2 Success College, Mannrs, iSTEP, AMP (Alliance of Minority Participation), DSU NAACP, and Companion Champions.
In the MLK Student Center, students were able to get food such as Hot Dogs and Hamburgers with Lemonade or Iced Tea, while they were searching for the right organizations to join.
“Student Org Fair was Successful,” said program manager, Quameisha Callwood. With more than 30 organizations participating in the student organization fair, Campus Activity Board Member, Nia Hyacinth says, “This was the outcome that we were looking for. We love to see Hornets come together and interacting with each other.”
