Christian Chapman is a 20 year old Junior & young entrepreneur from The Bronx, New York City. He is a mass communications major with a concentration in Digital Media Production. Everyday he’s highly motivated to step out of his comfort zone. Mr.Chapman decided to give us a brief interview.
Hornet: Who is Christian Chapman?
Christian: Mister Junior, from The Bronx, New York
Hornet: What made you want to become Mister Junior?
Christian: I always wanted to be the face of something. I always felt like my career would involve me being me and having to be the face of my own enterprise, so I know in order to do that I had to be the face of something that wasn’t myself, so I decided to be the face of the junior class.
Hornet: Growing up what were your career aspirations?
Christian: It was a whole bunch of them, right now I wanna be a sports analyst and I also wanna be an actor. Whichever one comes first I wont mind.
Hornet: What else did you want to be?
Christian: That’s it .. a basketball player but then I realized I wasn’t gonna grow so I got over it.
Hornet: Is this where you thought you would be five years ago?
Christian: Honestly, I wasn’t sure where exactly I would be, I just knew that I would be in College.
Hornet: What are your plans for the future?
Christian: I really want to be a sports analyst and an actor really bad. So right now I’m trying to get as much exposure as I can and work on getting myself to where I wanna be.
Hornet: What do you like to do in your free time?
Christian: Play 2K, listen to music, relax and chill with my friends.
Hornet: What are some daily inspirations that you have?
Christian: The little notes that my mom leaves all across my clothes and everywhere in my room. Sometimes I’ll find them, other days I won’t so these are good ones.
Hornet: Would you care to read one?
Christian: Yeah sure I’ll read the one I have
Hornet: Where did you find that one?
Christian: This one was in my jeans pocket today and it says “You’re doing great”
Hornet: Aww that is so sweet. Who’s your biggest inspiration in life?
Christian: Myself
Hornet: Why?
Christian: Because There’s only one Christian Chapman so I have to be the best Christian Chapman that I could be.
Hornet: If you could go anywhere in life where would you go?
Christian: To my bed, I’m tired. Nah If I could go anywhere, I would probably go to any Spanish speaking country I just always liked Spanish culture.
Hornet: What’s your favorite food to eat?
Christian: All of them, but I’m kinda picky
Hornet: What’s your favorite quote to live by?
Christian: Umm, oh I have it tattooed on my arm I had to think about it. “I am my number one fan, I am my number one critic, & I am my only competition.”
Hornet: What kind of advice would you offer a student, who is undecided on his or her career path?
Christian: I would say to research different fields. Try to get a feel for something you won’t mind possibly waking up everyday of your life doing. You don’t want to get 3/4 of the way through college and realize you completely hate your major. At that point you’ll begin to feel lost, desperate, & sad.
Hornet: Have you ever travelled outside of the United States? Where, and how does life outside compare to that in the US?
Christian: I been to the Bahamas & the water was so clean. It was the first time I went to the beach and saw my feet in the water.
Hornet: Are you interested in politics? If no, why not? What is your take on the state of politics and the future of the American democracy?
Christian: No. I have no reason, to be honest. I don’t pay attention to politics until they concern me because most laws aren’t beneficial to me.
Hornet: Let us end this interview with a memorable quote from you. How would you describe yourself to the world?
Complete the sentence: I am…
Christian: I am Christian Chapman the one and only.
