Some Delaware State University Mass Communications students have volunteered as the production Team for ESPN’s First Take Live with Stephen A. Smith.
From Thursday to Friday, September 19th and 20th, the students will be involved in assisting VIP, managing social hubs, setting up and taking down the event, which will take place at the 76ers Field House in Wilmington, Delaware.
Zachary Kimball, Mass Communications Production Coordinator, is accompanying the students to the HBCU Week Event.
Commenting on the ESPN event, the program director of DSU’s Mass Communications department, Renee Marine, said, “I believe this will be a great experience for the students, and it will look great on their resume.”
This opportunity will allow DSU students to connect with professionals in their field and to get a first hand look on what it takes to produce an event for a major network.
Mass Communications major, Chad Chevannes, said “I’m excited to meet Stephen A. Smith, and to get the opportunity to ask him questions on his experience in his career and how he became so successful.”
