A Lopsided Hornets Win Against Lincoln Lions!

Brian Cavicante

If you missed the home opener for the Hornets at Alumni Stadium on Saturday, you missed a good one! The Delaware State University Hornets got their first win of the season by defeating the Lincoln University Lions in a lopsided victory. The final score was 58-12.

The Hornets were in the driver’s seat every step of the way. It was a perfect way to bounce back after losing the first game of the season.

The weather was favorable for an afternoon of football.   Bands from both schools delivered great half-time performances. The fans gathered in the stands and cheered for the Hornets until the time expired from the game clock. After so many disappointing football seasons, will the Hornets finally be able to pull together a winning season?
