Delaware State University’s chapter of the online magazine, Her Campus, is looking for new members. The first informative meeting took place on Monday, January 14 in the library.
Her Campus magazine is an international writing base that creates a platform for female collegiate writers. Women on campus have the opportunity to create a page assorted of different styles and forms of writing.

Students at Delaware State University have the opportunity to practice writing and have their work be published. The articles that students post are professional so that they can be used for resumes and portfolios. “This is a great opportunity for anyone who is thinking about a career in writing,” said member Nia Curry.
The first meeting consisted of a description of what the organization entails. There are not consistent meeting times but every week, members are expected to submit two pieces of content. Writings will be placed online where DSU has its own page of writing from its female students involved in the club.
On Tuesday, January 15, new and old members bonded and dined at Applebee’s Bar and Grille. Here, the members were able to get to know each other, discuss meeting schedules and writing ideas, and to have a good time.
The organization is always welcoming new, dedicated students to become official members. Delaware State University’s Her Campus writings from can be found on the website; www.hercampus.com/school/desu.
