DSU Mourns Fallen Hornet

It was a somber weekend for the DSU community.

On Saturday, November 3, DSU student, 20-year-old Lonae Moore and her friend, 21-year-old, Aniyah Gillespie were pronounced dead after a car accident on Route 42 around 9:30 p.m. in Gloucester Township, New Jersey. It was reported by police that along with the two girls, three other people in the car were taken to Cooper University Hospital in Camden with injuriesIMG_6307 described as non-life-threatening.

Police said the car was heading north on Route 42 when it ran off the side of the road, struck several trees and overturned. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.

Lonae Moore was a sophomore Criminal Justice major from Sicklerville, N.J. According to Carlos Holmes, Funeral information is incomplete at this time, but will be shared with the campus community once that information is made available.
