Saturday night lights were shining bright this past weekend as the Delaware State Hornets took on the North Carolina Central Eagles.
Delaware State’s homecoming was last week and after a week full of events you can view here, the football game was the biggest of them all. The Hornets have had a rocky season so far, but the Hornets pulled it off winning against the Eagles with a score 28-13. This was the Hornet’s first win this season which now sets their record to 1-7. Stats for the season so far are here.
Head Coach
The large football team of 87 players, has the talent that the new Head Coach Rob Milstead is very excited about. The new coach has recruits from Canada, all the way to Spain.

The team dynamic has been very diverse. With players from all around the world, there is so much talent to be shown.
School Excitement
We interviewed junior, Blayne Bell and asked some questions as to her excitement. “I was super excited to see the match up with NC Central. It was a good game defensively since we have had a pretty good defensive line this season. I also am looking forward to seeing how Coach Milstead coaches this team since it’s his
first season with the Hornets as a head coach.”
