Here at Delaware State University, each year we select a game to dedicate to our alumni. This homecoming game was dedicated to our alumni that paved the way for us to be here.
As homecoming consists of a week full of fun events such as the step show, the concert, and the DSU ball, but the football game was the main attraction. This game delivered a band performance, cheer routines and most importantly the football team dedicate their abilities to the alumni.
As the season wines down to 3 games left, the hornets will face Morgan State, Savanah State and Virginia State University.
This past Saturday the “Big Red Machine” played North Carolina Central after its upset from last season. This game was played on the Alumni field located on the campus of Delaware State University. The field is in obvious sight, but to better locate the field it is between the Martin Luther King building and the Memorial Hall building.
The hornets played at 2pm. It rained under a 63 degree weather. Fortunately the Red and Columbia blue came through with a victory leading 28-13 on the scoreboard. The hornets fought hard, and earned a victory for its alumni and university.
