The Dreamers at Delaware State University held an interest meeting September 11, 2018 at The Price Building.
At the meeting some of the topics discussed included: creating awareness of the Dreamers, DACA program, other minorities on campus, as well as more insight on the mission of the organization.
One of the members, Karen, explained the goals of the organization, as well as some of the events planned for the upcoming semester. She shared that the mission of the organization was to, “ spread diversity, create community service opportunities, as well as raise awareness about minority students, not just DACA.”
Karen also explained some of the upcoming events like Dia De Los Muertos, Alzheimers Walk, and Immigrant day. The new organization is great prospects, as it is attracting a wide variety of diversity in the student body.
