“After getting out a few kinks, defense was able to come together as a whole defensive unit. Attack was able to move the ball well, see cutters, open opportunities, and redefended well,” said junior attack Brionna Watkins.

The Lady Hornets dominated the first half, within the first five minutes of the game, scoring three goals. By the end of the first half, the Hornets lead Radford 11-5.

By the last five minutes of the game, the Hornets lead 18-10, with Radford scoring their last four goals.

Watkins also highlighted that “Midfield boxed out well on the circle, helping the ball get into our possession. Winning the draws and maintaining possession were the main contributors to this win over Radford.”

The lacrosse team will be back in action on Thursday, March 3rd at Howard University.

With a win over the Bison 17-15 in 2015, the Lady Hornets will be trying to secure that game to make it their second win of the season.
