Finals are vastly approaching and some students may be wondering how they can improve their study habits as well as where to get help on campus.

Professors on campus have office hours during their free time which is a chance for students to meet with their teachers and ask any questions they didn’t want to or get a chance to ask in class.

S-I sessions assign student instructors that are willing to help those currently taking some difficult courses.Student Instructors are students that have received an A in the class and are well versed in that specific subject.

Student instructors usually set up times that are convenient with the students, and most sessions are held in the library. The library’s normal operation hours are from 8 a.m. to 12 a.m.

Monday through Thursday and it is closed earlier during the weekend.During finals weekend, the library stays open a little longer for students to do their final homework and study vigorously for exams.

The library has five floors for studying, two of which have computers for students to do work.

“I’m in the library often but I definitely come to study during midterms and finals,” said Alexis Watson, a jun-ior social work major.

Inside the library students can also go to tutoring or the writing lab.Writing lab tutor Brittnee Marsh said students that have papers due for their finals need to start them early, come get help before they are due, make the edits and bring the teacher’s guidelines.

The writing lab is open Monday through Thursday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Fridays. Along with the writing lab there is the math lab located In the ETV building.

Students are able to walk in and re-ceive help from available tutors no matter what math class they are taking. Math tutor Michael Sanchez sug-gests to work on getting better by continuing to practice the math and go to tutoring.
