Author Gives Love Life Tips at Sistah Salon Series

By Amiya Perkins

The DSU Healthy Hornets Program launched its Sistah Salon Series with a seminar titled “Ain’t Nobody Got Time For That” with speaker and author, Marilyn Wilson. Female students were intrigued by the relationship seminar that discussed the 100 attitudes and behaviors toward men that cause them stress.

Wilson, an entrepreneur and author of the book Natural Causes and Supernatural Cures for Women Who Are Losing Their Minds Over Men spoke about ways for women to avoid unintentionally losing their mind over a man.

The room was full of female Hornets coming together to express their feelings and outlooks about relationships they are currently in or have been in. “A man shouldn’t be needed to complete you, he should just be a bonus in your life,” said sophomore, Rodesha Davis.

The information provided in the seminar and book, also demonstrated how women can restore their piece of mind during a relationship by seeking supernatural cures. The students who attended the event were in awe about the information shared.

“Leaving the seminar, I was refreshed with a sense of self-worth. I felt empowered with her words of wisdom,” said sophomore, Jazlyn Kelley. The DSU Healthy Hornets Program encourages all students to participate in its upcoming events within the series that began in November.
