As we all know, DSU’s football team took the long awaited trip to Fargo, North Dakota to face North Dakota State University (NDSU).
NDSU was the host of the weekly edition of ESPN’s College Game day, which showcases a different college football city each week during the college football season.
Well the Bison were the host under national spotlight and they sure made a statement.
The Bison and Hornets were evenly matched for about half of the first quarter, and then North Dakota State pulled away with an interception for a touchdown.
It all went downhill for the Hornets after the turnover, and the Bison eventually put up 51 points in a route of the Hornets.
Hornets Linebacker Ernest Adjei was asked how the preparation for such a game under the national spotlight was and said, “It was the same as any other game. The hype was not geared toward us.”
The Hornets look to bounce back and start their MEAC schedule this upcoming Saturday versus Savannah State.
