With the first Equestrian game of the season approaching on September 20th, Coach Jennifer Ridgley laid out her goals for the team this upcoming season.
Ridgley says her three main goals this year start with having more academic All -Americans on the team, and consequently – the next goal is to increase the team grade-point-average from a 2.7 to a 3.5.
The final goal is to qualify for the national championship. However, qualifying for the championship won’t be easy with a new, restructured and young team. Ridgley has no doubts and is overly excited to see what this season has in store.
There are 21 athletes on this year’s team and only four of those athletes are seniors, nine are freshmen.
This year’s team has two star athletes from Canada, Darby Male Hot and Haley Jeske. Ridgley has high hopes for both of them.
The team has also increased the skill of the horses by receiving 14 new horses for this season.
